Back in Motion: Build Strength, Move with Confidence

Physiotherapist-Led Back & Hip Strength Classes

Looking to improve your strength but not sure where to start? Our Back in Motion class offers a supportive introduction to strength training, helping you develop strength and endurance in your back and hips while building confidence with exercise.

Led by physiotherapist Alex Creedon, this small-group class focuses on controlled movements, proper technique and gradual progression, making it ideal for beginners or anyone feeling unsure about training with weights.

Build Strength at Your Own Pace

Strength training doesn’t have to be intimidating.

Back in Motion is designed to help you feel more comfortable and confident with exercise, whether you’re completely new to strength training or looking to build a stronger foundation.

With a maximum of just 10 participants per class, you’ll benefit from a supportive small-group environment where you can focus on learning the exercises and progressing at a pace that suits your ability.

The emphasis is on getting the basics right before gradually developing strength, endurance and physical capacity.

What to Expect from Back in Motion

Each 45-minute class combines functional strength training with targeted mat-based exercises to help develop strength and control in your back and hips.

  • Mat-Based Exercises: Perform targeted exercises inspired by Pilates to develop strength, endurance and control through your hips and torso.
  • Progressive Training: As your confidence and technique improve, exercises will gradually progress to help you develop greater strength and physical capacity.
