His areas of experience and interest include:

  • Sports Physiotherapy & Injury Rehabilitation: Supporting athletes and active individuals through injury recovery and their return to training and competition.

A Lifelong Interest in Sport

Sport has always played an important role in Alex’s life, both personally and professionally.

Growing up in Dublin, he participated in soccer, basketball and swimming before focusing on rugby, which he played at school and club level until the age of 18.

For the past eight years, Alex has competed in Olympic Weightlifting, earning a medal at his first Senior National Championships in the 89kg weight class and representing Ireland internationally at competitions in Austria and Malta.

He continues to compete in Olympic Weightlifting and is also a member of the senior sprint team at Leevale Athletic Club in Cork.

His own experience of competitive sport gives him a valuable understanding of the physical demands of training, injury recovery and returning to performance.
